Gloucestershire Guitar Society's 1st concert November 29th 2014

2nd April 2014 RWCMD Student Recital
At our April meeting, the society was delighted to host a student recital by two postgraduate students from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Evangelos Nikolaidis (Greece) and Booboo Sianturi (Indonesia) treated the members to a virtuosic display of their skills as they prepare for their final recitals.
Evangelos' performance included Giuliani, Paganini and Piazzolla, Booboo's - Bach, Mairants and Turina.

A very enjoyable evening was had by all!

Ray Burley's masterclass was a highly rewarding experience for participants and observers alike - everyone benefiting from his insights and wealth of experience.

 

4th March 2015 - Four members of the Corinium Players gave us a fantastic recital including solos by Barrios, Rodrigo, Sanz and Tarrega as well as a number of arrangements for two and four guitars. Their high level of expertise and musical maturity was greatly appreciated by the Society members. A wonderful concert!
